This weekend was so perfect in Manasota Key. The sand was clean of any seaweed, the water was at 84 degrees, the dolphins were playing close to shore, we had a full moon and the sunsets were more colorful than ever with shades of purple and orange that took my breath away. We took out our tricycles and pedaled up and down the road, played some tennis, jumped on the pool, read gulfside, played with the dogs, sipped some mojitos, took a bubble bath and tried a new recipe with the freshest seafood found in Manasota Key. All this while trying to keep an eye on the local Manasota Key realty deals. With 10 properties sold this year and one pending, the activity is starting to increase while the inventory is shrinking. So, how can it get any better in Manasota Key? This past weekend was one of those rare weekends that we weren’t in Manasota Key and only because we were out of town. We flew to New York City for a 5 day weekend and my friend, Sonia, offered to stay with my son, Sebastian. She and her family enjoyed the Manasota Key beach and the house but said that it rained some afternoons due to a storm that was forming in the Gulf of Mexico. This didn’t stop them from riding their bicycles to the end of Manasota Key, ordering pizza from Giraldi’s and eating al fresco while enjoying the sound of the waves. In their own words…Manasota Key is so magical!…and if you’re interested in receiving the latest Manasota Key realty information, please send me your request to: melbajimenez@michaelsaunders.com.

Last weekend it was very quite. There was hardly anyone on the Manasota Key beach. It rained towards the end of both days, creating a mystic aura, ideal background for my latest reading, Bridge of Sighs. The dogs enjoyed their usual rounds of play; the adults played card games while the kids were able to bring the kayaks out. We enjoyed Manasota Key at its best, peaceful, quite, mystical, serene!…and if you’re interested in receiving the latest Manasota Key realty information, please send me your request to: melbajimenez@michaelsaunders.com.

As a full time Sarasota resident and real estate agent, looking for an excuse to vacation on the keys, I decided it was time to invest on a beach waterfront residence that I could call home on the weekends. Having lived in the area for over 22 years, the natural choice was Manasota Key. Not only do you find beautiful beaches and views here, but Manasota Key has managed to maintain its old Florida charm. Depending on the day, you might see dolphins, stingrays, turtles or simply your neighbor’s dogs playing on the beach. People are very friendly and unpretentious. What I love the most is the privacy and natural beauty, going for walks, feeling the sand on my feet or reading a great book while sipping a “mojito” gulf side. We always wake up in the mornings saying: “Another Beautiful Day in Paradise”. We always leave the Key saying, “Can’t wait for Friday”.
